Billabong Sanctuary - With Bus Transfer - Townsville

Billabong Sanctuary is located on the highway 17kms south of Townsville. The sanctuary covers 25 acres and displays Australia’s native animals in their natural habitat – rainforest, eucalypt forest and wetlands.

Hold a koala, cuddle a wombat, hold a crocodile, hand feed free ranging kangaroos or wrap a python around your neck. These are just some of the unforgettable hands on adventures you can experience at the Billabong.

With nearly 20 interactive wildlife talks held by the rangers every day you are sure to learn something about your favourite native animal.

There are lots of other things to do while you are at the Billabong, cool off in our tropical pool, enjoy a picnic lunch or relax on the verandah’s of the Blinky Bill Café.
