Skyrail and Scenic Railway - Cairns
Kuranda Scenic Railway is the original scenic rail journey to Kuranda. This spectacular experience travels over bridges and through tunnels hand-made by North Queensland’s pioneers over 100 years ago. Traversing the World Heritage listed rainforest of the Barron Gorge National Park this is one of the world’s great railway journeys.
Kuranda offers many attractions to keep you entertained including arts and crafts markets daily, a butterfly sanctuary, koala park cafes and restaurants.
Return to Cairns gliding metres above the rainforest canopy taking in breathtaking views, mountain scenery, waterfalls and gorges on the Skyrail.
Trains depart twice every morning, gondalas depart every 15 minutes.
