BILLABONG SANCTUARY:

Billabong Sanctuary is located on the highway 17kms south of Townsville. The sanctuary covers 25 acres and displays Australia’s native animals in their natural habitat – rainforest, eucalypt forest and wetlands.

Hold a koala, cuddle a wombat, hold a crocodile, hand feed free ranging kangaroos or wrap a python around your neck. These are just some of the unforgettable hands on adventures you can experience at the Billabong.

With nearly 20 interactive wildlife talks held by the rangers every day you are sure to learn something about your favourite native animal.

REEF HQ AQUARIUM:

Reef HQ is the world’s largest living coral reef aquarium and national education centre for the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Centre. It is the only coral reef aquarium in QLD that allows visitors to experience the reef from a fish-eye view. Reef HQ boats a range of displays & exhibits that are designed to stimulate the visitor’s curiosity. The huge aquarium acts as a window to the reef that reveals thousands of incredible fish & reef creatures.
